Day 117 & 118


I am going to Zumba! Woo Hoo! Jammy class!

Almost picture day again.... I fit into size 16 jeans beautifully! From 22 to 16 in 4 months not too bad! I was hoping for weighing 200 or under by May 1st will 3rd be "start date". Cross your fingers for me!!!

Day 116

LOVE THIS CURRY!!!Grilled Chicken Curry with peanut dipping sauce

I just add a little water to the curry paste and little olive oil and let it marinate.

The dipping sauce is EASY . I just use PB2 instead of regular peanut butter cuts the calories in a BIG way.

For dipping sauce
1 (14 oz) can lite coconut milk
3 Tablespoons PB2 ( mixed with water)
1 lime, juiced
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Mix well, heat in pan over medium heat bring to simmer. Simmer 5 minutes Remove from heat serve hot or cold.

Day 115

I woke up to Tornado sirens...NOT FUN. Not much sleep last night.

I show extreme reactions to soy sauce. i'm going to be detoxing from it for the next few days. I'm not sure if it is sodium or the combination of soy and sodium. But after I eat it I hold water like crazy. I'm going to try not to use it for the rest of the week. It sucks because I love sushi and marinades all use a lot of soy sauce. I use light too. Could be lack of sleep too. Storms all night i left TV on just in case...

Day 114

201.4Mediterranean Lemon Chicken Penne

1 package Ronzoni garden delight Penne rigate
1 pound skinless boneless chicken breasts
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
chopped parsley

Cook pasta to package directions
cut the chicken into about 8 pieces per breast half
spray skillet with cooking spray, brown chicken.
add everything but the parsley simmer till tender
toss with penne and parsley.
makes 6 servings

This was really good. Easy too! I made it Saturday when I was sick as a dog. Takes maybe 15 max. Very light the Ronzoni has 4 grams of fiber per serving that is AWESOME for pasta. Plus it has a full serving vegetables.

I'm so HAPPY! Predators are on to the SECOND round in the play offs and I'm dropping the pounds! I'd be so happy to be under 200 by the end of the month.

Day 111 & 112 (HAPPY EASTER)

HAPPY EASTER!!! It is for me, 202.8 WOW! Getting sick makes the weight fall off or maybe it my period starting.... Anyway 202.8 is a nice Easter present to me!

Day 110

205 no ounces! One more ounce 204....

So I feel like crap. Katie's "allergies" weren't allergies I think it was a good old fashion cold now trying to turn into a sinus infection. I think I caught her cold. Since almost every time i get a cold or allergy attack I get a sinus infection. So I bought a
neti pot for Katie. It is suppose to clean out your nasal passages and sooth them. She tried it last night but she was laughing so much the solution kept coming out her mouth not going from nostril to nostril. It did clean out her nose. I cleaned it and have gotten it ready to use. I'm not so sure about it. BUT several people have told me it is GREAT. Here goes nothing...false alarm the solution is still a little hot to put in my nose. i over heated it...

So to go to the gym or not to go to the gym. I think group power is out or body pump as they are now calling it. if i don't go the gunk will just settle in my throat and nose. i don't want to give it to anyone else, but i think that boat already sailed since I go everyday. I've exposed them.

OK so I tried the neti pot. i must say that is a weird feeling! I usually try really hard NOT to have water go up my nose. Pouring in my nose is strange. Trying to get myself NOT to breath out was even harder. But I finally got it to work. And it did clear my nose and sooth it. Once I got over the feeling of being waterboarded.

As for the the gym I'll see how I'm feeling at 9 AM. If I feel more human I'll go to zumba since Heidi is teaching.

I have cupcakes to bake for a shower tomorrow, and a cupcake tower to put together and decorate....

Day 108 & 109

205.8 I'm puffed up like scared puffer fish, so tomorrow I might lose 2 pounds??? pretty please!

I feel like a bus ran over me. I ache every where. Mostly in my heart after the Predators laid a big egg on the ice the 3rd period to break my heart.... My period is starting Oh joys.... spotting of course I'm supposed to see the OB/GYN today. I had to cancel the last appointment due to my period. It hasn't officially started ( gallons of blood aren't flowing out my vagina...TMI?) So I'm wondering if I still can get the stupid pap smear done. I'm sure Yolanda will tell me, because I'm not canceling again to have them push me back another 3 to 4 weeks for my period to start for the next appointment.

Trying to talk myself into going to total body work out. It might not make me feel better, but at least I'd have a good reason for aching.... right now crawling in a nice hot bath with a book sounds better... but fitting into the next size down sounds pretty good too.... being under 200 pound sounds even better.... Guess I'll drag my ass to the gym.

Day 107

3:21 AM woke up because of Dyson. BUT i was starving and my knees are killing me. Puffy and feel like crap. had some intestinal issues yesterday afternoon don't know if this is carry over. But a Diana's Banana and a Celebrex will hopefully help!
Going back to bed....wish me luck at sleeping!

7:59AM i was able to go back to sleep slept till 6:30! YEAH! That was lovely! Now I'm going to have to scoot if I'm going to make total body work out. I'm a lot less puffed and thanks to Celebrex my knees feel fine.

Sunday was the first home Predators play off game. It didn't disappoint!

Monday I Did zumba and yoga. Getting more flexible still quite a lot that I just can't do yet. I wish there was more than one class a week offered in the morning. There is only 3 classes offered a week. i guess i could do the TV thing, or find another studio.

205.6 YES!!! Brilliant! One Happy Camper!

Today is prom for Courtney. I so hoping for a beautiful day. Instead we have a forecast of possible tornadoes. BUMMER!

I have a baby shower cake for tomorrow to get finished. The main decoration is done, baby shoes and one layer is baked. Going to get the other in the oven NOW!

I have physical therapy today too.

So I missed Total Body Work out this morning. BUT I had a good reason. I had to get these cookies done for an order.
Still cleaning the kitchen and then rolling out the cookies burned as many calories as the work out. I think I may go later for a group power or Zumba. I might just do a TV work out I have a bunch DVRed. BUT I have a cake to make too....

Day 101


Ok one good thing happened that makes awaking up at 3:45 AM with stomach cramps and a headache better. I lost that pound! Guess, I needed to whine about not losing weight to do it... Not much caring for this headache. BUT I'll live I think... I hope it clears up by time to go to Zumba. I'll have to take a power nap this afternoon for sure because the first round of the NHL play-offs start tonight. Predators's game doesn't start till 9:30 Central time. I'll be one tired person by then.

It is amazing how number on a scale can make you either very happy or upset. So I'm happy lack of sleep, headache and all. LOL!

Trying on pants! and other brags?

So I went to the size 14 section of my closet just to torture myself.... I put on a pair of capri's and buttoned them. I could not breath and I had a devil of a time unbuttoning them, BUT I could put them on! Now sizing is a weird thing I have some 18's that are too tight to wear and some 16s that fit me perfectly. I do know I can pull down a size 22 with out unbuttoning or un zipping them. Size 20's are too big I have baggy butt syndrome in them. I need to take them out of my closet, but when I feel bloated they still are my friends... I need to try on all of my 18s. I might as well wear them and get some use out of them before I shrink out of them!

Today when we did planks in class i was able to hold it for the full time. Pretty proud of myself for that feat. My core is finally strengthening. YIPPEEEEEEE!

Now if I can just make it through the evening without blowing my sensible eating.....LOL!

Day 100

FRUSTRATION! I keep losing and gaining the same pound over and over. It totally SUCKS! I have eaten 2000 calories once since January 3rd. Most days I think my average in take would be 1600 calories or less. I work out usually 5 days out of 7 sometimes more. i burn about 1000 calories in exercise. So why am I struggling with the same freaking pound???? WATER WEIGHT???? Even if I don't exercise my body is suppose to burn at least 2000 so I really don't get it. I drink my water.

I have a HUGE problem keeping the sodium at the 1500mg level. Anything that is processed has too much SALT! Unless you want to make EVERYTHING from scratch ( who has the time?) finding low sodium food is so HARD!

I'm just really frustrated with how fast the weight is coming off now...

Day 99

I'm a puff ball! I didn't go to the gym at all this weekend, and I ate too much! paying for it today! Zumba then yoga. I might get a walk in today. I will be making a fondant baby shoes. I really need to vacuum is pit before the dust/hair bunnies take over completely. Who knew two tiny dogs would lose that much hair!

OMG! so Jim and I got Bar-B-Cutie for lunch hickory smoked pork, baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw. I used a sandwich thin instead of the white bun ( Thank Goodness). 907 calories! YIKES! Sodium through the roof! So hard to eat out! CRAZY!

Day 97

207.2 Disappointed was hoping I'd lose those 2 ounces.... water weight in my poor ankles...LOL!

I over did it at the gym yesterday. I really need a REST! THAT'S MY STORY AND STICKING TO IT! Group power was brutal. Me going straight to Zumba after that was a bit much. I've done it before BUT last time Group Power was easier and I tried less weight. I've been doing extra work after classes. The arc twice this week after total body work out 20 to 40 minutes. Plus I've had physical therapy twice this week too. I haven't taken a day off the gym since last Sunday. I think I may walk the neighborhood today as cardio or shop :) LOL! I'm probably go in and do the arc machine Sunday especially if they have a good movie. The other day GOING THE DISTANCE was on and I wanted to stay and watch the whole movie I would have except I had a therapy appointment.

I'll be working on the pool a bit. Hopefully I'll catch some sun too!

Day 96

207.2 so 2 little ounces away from the next pound... SO ready to hit the next mini goal of 205! I hope I remember that when I'm so tempted to blow my healthy eating.

Yeah, I know Jim is going to want to go to Rippy's before the hockey game. NOTHING they serve there is healthy or light. Feels like sabotage on Jim's part of my weight loss. He needs to eat healthy. I'm not going to nag, BUT I'm not the one with high blood pressure, pre-diabetic, and with family history of all sorts of health problems. He knows this and has in the past done something about it. Very hard to stay on the healthy band wagon. I think I am the one that dragged him off last time when I lost all my energy and stopped going to the gym. I should have gone to the doctor when it happened. BUT water under the bridge now and hind sight is 20/20. I'd had my thyroid checked before I lost weight last time. I didn't realize that it could go down so fast. Now i know and I hope if ever you feel dragged out and tired for no reason you GO TO THE DOCTOR sooner rather than later.

Day 95

I Love my Cooking Light recipe book!!!
Hoisin pork and Boston lettus wraps recipe

4 servings (serving size: 3 lettuce leaves, 6 slices pork, about 2 tablespoons hoisin-lime sauce, and about 3/4 cup coleslaw)
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon lime juice
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon water
3 cups packaged cabbage-and-carrot coleslaw
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/3 cup unsalted peanuts
Cooking spray
3 (4-ounce) boneless center-cut loin pork chops, cut into 24 thin strips
12 Boston lettuce leaves

1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl; set aside.
2. Combine coleslaw, cilantro, and peanuts; set aside.
3. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add pork; sauté 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pan.
4. Arrange 3 lettuce leaves on each of 4 plates. Top each lettuce leaf with 2 slices pork, hoisin-lime sauce, and coleslaw.

This is fantastic! It's finger food too! I think I'm making this for the next Bunco!

Day 93

207.6 Down a pound and a few ounces! Come on 200!

Eating my oatmeal (Made from scratch so no sodium). I put brown sugar and cinnamon in it but, it still reminds my of wall paper paste. I need to come up with the right formulation because i like to really enjoy my meals. This is just filling up space. maybe cooking it with the brown sugar and cinnamon in it would be better. I'm thinking pecans added would be good.

Tomorrow I'm trying a new recipe. It's a pork wrap with Boston cabbage. It look delicious. I'm eager to give it a whirl!

Tonight is 2nd to last home Predators game. All I can say is WIN!!! Three more games hopefully three more wins.

i went to Zumba yesterday my feet feel fine. I did ice them as soon as I hit the door. Took my Celebrex. I need my work out that I enjoy. Today is Total body work out. I don't like it really. I like seeing my friends. I like the results shown on my body. But it isn't fun. I'm a clock watcher in that class.

To Zumba or not to Zumba

I rather ice my feet than not Zumba. I enjoy it. i get a AWESOME cardiovascular work out. I sweat, cough out any gunk in my throat and lungs. I feel more alive. I got the inserts at Fleet Feet this weekend, and I ordered Zumba shoes. As soon as my feet are back to normal I'm going to Zumba at least once daily and some days twice a day. I need more weight training so here I come!

Day 92

Beginning of March

I don't really see any difference with the naked eye between these pictures. No difference except I can now wear some of my size 18s and my 20's and 22 s are too big! I don't have to unbutton the 22's to pull them down. I hope to be at or below 200 pounds by the end of April. AS soon as my foot problems have resolved I am going to start spending more time at the gym. I would really like to be thinner in Courtney's graduation photos.

Day 90

I can't deal with no Zumba. My feet feel great, and the rest of me feels like a pudge. I gained a pound back, water weight no doubt from not sweating yesterday. I should have done some exercise yesterday, BUT I didn't. I ate horribly and then ate late and too much sodium. I'm Zumba-ing. I've done no Zumba since Monday. I need the cardio. I need some fun too!

Day 89

208.8 Same

I really need it to get warm again, this gray wet weather is really bring me down. The weather people promised sun for Saturday and a warm up. they better keep their word!!! Or I may go psycho and strangle one of them...LOL!

I'm in a real crap mood. The physical therapist, Kelly, said no Zumba. It's the only thing I really enjoy at the gym. I guess it is the arc machine for me for the next few days. I'll rest it till Monday. See how my feet feel. I didn't go Wednesday and the swelling on my ankles and feet was way down, so Kelly has a point... I just don't get the work out on the arc machine I get in a Zumba class. plus Zumba is FUN! You are dancing, the arc machine not so much. I hope there is a good movie in the cardio theater.

So I had this really ugly age spot show up on my face last fall. This is a picture of it when it just got hit with liquid nitrogen.
What it looks like about 3 weeks later.

I determined that the dermatologist I saw was a putz. He looked high to tell you the truth. maybe he has having allergy issues or insomnia. He barely looked at me did not examine my skin at all really. He might have talked to me about 5 minutes. I have a freckle on my right cheek that doesn't look normal at all. The procedure I did have to remove the age spot the nurse did it.
I think that I'll be seeing someone else not Dr Bell. He did seem better when Courtney saw him some-what, but over all I'm not impressed with him.
