WOW!

Since I was outed on the Scrap Smack 2 my numbers on my blog JUMPED! Too bad I'm pretty boring. I talk too much about weight loss, my kids, My DH, hockey and bit here and there on scrapping.

movie reviews:

We went to see, 88 Minutes. Pretty good thriller not great because I'd figured out who the "bad guy" was early on in the movie. Guess I've seen more than my share of thrillers and read even more... Worth seeing but you probrbaly could wait for the DVD.

Watched, The Night Caller on one of premium channels. Robin Willams movie (serious, drama) It was very good based on a true story. Worth setting TIVO or your DVR!
Never even heard of it before I watched it. Love finding gems!

Have a great week!

I was outed!

One of my dirty little secrets was high lighted....I was on the the smack blog! And oh the shame of it I posted. I deleted it. Because like a dope I forgot to click anonymous. BUT someone felt the need to go through all the posts and high light that I'd been there... The funny thing is that I've posted under my name there before and left it. If I hadn't deleted the post it would have probably been ignored.

Any way I admit it I read the "nasty" blog, and GASP! I some times post to it.

I wonder if AllState will give a discount for this....

HOW TO INSTALL A SOUTHERN HOME SECURITY SYSTEM

1) Go to a second-hand store, buy a pair of men's used size 14-16
work boots.
2) Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns & Ammo
Magazine.
3) Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazine.
4) Leave a note on your door that reads:

Hey Bubba, Big Jim, Duke and Slim:
I went for more ammunition. Back in an hour. Don't mess with the pit
bulls - they attacked the mailman this morning and messed him up real
bad. I don't think Killer took part in it, but it was hard to tell
from all the blood. Any way, I locked all 4 of 'em in the house.
Better wait outside.

Inspiration

I had to put up the pictures yesterday to motivate myself. I have to keep reminding myself there is HUGE change in my appearance. From a tight size 20 to 14's and 12's is really good. The pictures just bring it home. If I keep going and reach my goal it will be even more amazing transformation. Plus the health benefits are pretty great. I haven't been really sick all year. One little bout before Christmas that didn't last long at all. FANTASTIC! I put that down to eating healthy. Also attitude I feel good about myself and my appearance. A positive attitude toward myself is a BIG lift.

My weight loss is all natural too no banding of my stomach or pills. All diet and EXERCISE. If you aren't willing to go to the gym you won't get the body you want. You may get thinner but the heart benefits and the toning of muscles, NOPE.
If I can do this any one can with the right attitude.

Yesterday I tried on dresses for my nephews wedding. It was FUN! Everything looked good! I was in the regular ladies section. It was wonderful!

for anyone that is struggling with weight. I wish you success! This is my third serious go at losing the weight. I think 3 is the charm for me!

Good luck! Wish me luck too!

Total Body Work Out

April 2007 56 pounds lighter from 229 to 173

This is what I looked like the begin of March 2007

Or TBW as they call it at the MAC, is kicking my ass! Holy cow my thighs, butt, and biceps HURT! Light weight training, my BIG TOE! After thousand reps... well it feels like thousand reps today! Ibuprofen is my FRIEND. Sonya seems all sweet and nice BUT she is really Hitler reincarnated or some other sadistic crazy person. But who is crazier I pay for this.... I better better get that firm lovely ass and tight abs or I go psycho....evil laughter....

Bathing suit season is upon us. That last 19 pounds is just hanging on for dear life. I'm finding it VERY hard to restrict myself lately in the eating department. It terribly hard to psych myself up for it after doing it over a year.

I refuse to give up! I will lose that last 19 pounds if it kills me!

Happy Earth Day!

Here Katie is with her BFFs Shelby and Emily.

Katie had a band concert on the square. their band is really pretty good for only starting to learn their instruments since August. Cracked me up they learned "Rocky Top". I think that song is bigger than the National Anthem in Tennessee.

Last night my Preds lost after battling to get to over time. JP Dumont screwed up with a give away. Ellis did every thing but stand on his head last night in goal. He was AWESOME! Too bad it was in a losing effort. BUT Sunday is coming! Hopefully Arnot and Legwand will play.

All My Pretty Ribbon All in a Row!

I've actually had two scrapping "play dates" this week and done zippo scrapping. Debra came over Tuesday and I re-arranged my ribbon stash. It was a HUGE mess. I have them on two long bars hanging over my scrap area. There were empty spools everywhere and the color families were all messed up with additions not with the right colors, etc BUT now they are nice and neat in the rainbow. But they didn't all fit, of course not. Some are in my bins all neatly arranged in my cupboard. NO I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH RIBBON. You can never have enough! It's like shoes and purse and jewelry! NOW I'll be able for a while to find all my lovely stash of ribbons! WOO HOO! When I re-arrange I always find some I forgot I had, so that is a bonus too!

Yesterday I went over to Debra's and we wound up watching the season finally of New Amsterdam. I had too many thing scheduled to tape Monday on the DVR so it got bumped So glad Debra taped it too! Any way we "scrapped" for all of 20 minutes maybe... all I managed to do was pick some papers for a page. I figured out what I needed to do for a butterfly paper piecing I've been struggling with it needed something and I think ink edgings are the answer.

I went to Zumba last night. I could not get it together yesterday after the game to go work out. I was exhausted! This morning I'm having the same problem. stayed up too late watching the other NHL teams play games waiting for Jim to get home from his dinner meeting. At least tomorrow I'm sleeping in!

Tonight the Preds play in Detroit, so I'll be glued to the TV from 6:30 around 9 PM. They are having a big viewing party at the Sommet center but I think I rather watch in my sweats on my own couch. I've got High Hopes!

THE PREDS WON!!!!

WOO HOO!

Thank goodness! Now we have a series! It was a roller coaster ride of a game. Jim and I both broke our clackers(those things that look like hands but have three section that move to slam together to make noise) Part of my "hand" went flying into the crowd. They were from last years play offs. They had a lot of use. Hopefully we'll get more. I LOVE those things! They save your hands! Any way I'll take broken clackers if that is what it takes for them to win! The Sommet Center was ROCKING! You had to be there to understand. I've never heard any event ever that the crowd was so loud. It was wild like the crowd totally willed the team to win.

So I'm a happy camper today Hopefully I'll be as happy after Wednesday's game.

I'm scrapping today with Debra, that is the plan any way. I need to make kits this morning. I need to print off pictures.

Guess I'm going to drag myself to the Total Body Work out this morning get my weight training in I should do more after what I ate yesterday I had a BIG juicy burger with season fries, tacos, and one of those deluxe caramel apples with nuts, chocolate.... OMG! They are GOOD! Guess it worth an extra class I'm not losing weight but not gaining. Today should be fruit and vegetable day....

WE GOT HOSED! well a little

layout of the day in honor of the play offs

Preds got hosed a bit by really bad officiating again! The tying goal from Zetterberg should have been called off sides. The Wing were WAY off sides. The hit where Niklas Kronwall jumped off the ice and elbowed Rich Peverley should have been at least a 5 minute major there was intent to injure any time you jump off the ice. last year Alexander Radulov was suspended a game for doing just that act. Another time Alexander Radulov was mugged and they ignored it and on the very similar but less aggresive play by Erat was called...I'M BLIND I'M DEAF I WANT TO BE A REF!

BUT Nashville need to put more shots on goal and quit leaving a guy undefended...

DO BETTER BOYS ON SATURDAY!

Thursday thoughts...

Layout of the day!

Courtney's first fancy dress Dance. Funny thing is we got the dress and shoes on sale so we spent about $54 on both! We went to get the halter bra at Victoria's secret and it was as much as the shoes and dress! GROAN! at least she'll wear the bra more...

Thank you Flames for knocking off the Sharks in the Shark tank!!! WOO HOO!

Craig Leapold so glad the Wild went down the Avs. You turn coat! I hope your "new" team goes bust!

Tonight is the first in the Predator vs Red Wings series. All the annalists are saying the Red Wings are going to win, BUT the same people though the Sharks were going to out class the Flames... I think the Preds have enough heart and pride to do it! GO PREDATORS!

So glad the writers strike is OVER

Now we're watching what I want to watch!

Back to watching NEW episodes of CSI! WOO HOO! Of course everything is taping because I'm watching the Stanley cup play offs...

Movie review

We rented movies this weekend. Sweeney Todd, A Death at a Funeral, and 30 Days of Night. Sort of a macabre theme going, but totally different type movies.

Sweeney Todd was STRANGE, but gripping! Musical slasher flick. Lots of squirting blood! If you are looking for something VERY different, and don't faint at the sight of blood this just maybe the ticket!

A Death at a Funeral was just hilarious! A masterful British farce at it's best. If you want to laugh rent this movie! I don't want to give away the plot. I find being surprised by the content much funnier so I won't spoil it for you!

30 Days of Night is a vampire flick. Not romantic like Dracula you never root for the bad guys that is for sure. Creepy, gory, scary just what a horror movie should be. I liked this one because you can kill the bad guys...

Reversal of Fortune?

Just a week ago I was moaning about my Predators not making the play offs, and they made it with a game to spare. Shame on me for not keeping the faith! They'll be playing the Red Wings in the first round of play offs.WOO HOO! GO PREDS! I just would really like them to go beyond the first round of play offs. I don't want to spend the money on tickets to see them lose. After the year the teams has had it is a great accomplishment for them to make it to the play offs. The ex owner gutting the team and put it up for sell to the highest bidder... What a roller coaster ride!

I got this in my Email:

Hello Kate!

Lyvonn (the owner) would really like to speak to you about a position here at the store, also about teaching classes. She asked me to give you her cell phone number which is below. Make sure when you call her, you mention you are calling about a position at Paper Candy, because we also have 10 tanning salons and she won’t know exactly who you are if you don’t, lol.

Thanks so much for your time!! Karen

I spoke to the owner. She is trying to sell the store. BUT this sale falls through she wants to go full bore and try to make it work. I guess I'll find out in a week or two if I have a job or not... I'd pretty much written it off.

I guess I'll find out in the next few weeks if the play offs are a bust or the job is smoke and mirrors. Hopefully they both work out!

Woo Hoo! 173!

Now I can say only 19 pounds to my goal weight! I probably worked it off last night watching the Preds game... side note: sorry to my neighbors for the rather colorful language coming from my den the first period... Thankfully they decided they came to play! In 8th place again. I won't be able to ate till the final game is over... We won't know who is in the playoffs till then, Vancouver and Nashville are neck and neck. There maybe a silver lining to this, I'll lose more weight!

Seriously, I think Zumba is the main contributor to my weight loss. Love, love, love it! Got to force myself to do more weight training. Want that lovely sculpted bod... well at least no bat wings!

Skinny ME!

I haven't reached my goal of 154 yet still 20 over that weight. But looking back at pictures just a few months ago at Christmas I can see major changes in my face. No more round face!

Just waiting for no more round belly! more motivation for crunches and zumba!

THIS I'M PROUD TO SAY IS NO "APRIL FOOLS"
