Day 150

OK so I went to Power Pump, Diva Dance and Zumba yesterday plus i did laps in the pool. I burned over 1300 calories! BUT I over ate AGAIN. So I maintained pretty much I think I dropped ounces. This really, really sucks it seems i have to consume under 1300 to lose weight any more. I am building muscles. You really can see them in my arms. Every time I lose weight I hit the wall. Since I've been doing it for almost half a year it is wall time! It is extremely hard to eat right when everyone around is doing what they please food wise. So hard to keep your eyes on the prize when there is chocolate cover almonds to eat.... OK, so I had my fun back on the wagon once again. i just need to plan lovely healthy LIGHT food and no be tempted. It would be so lovely to be back in my size 14s and be able to breath too. I can put them on and zip them wearing them in public not so much unless camel-toe is the fashion statement I want to make. Guess I could wear them to Walmart and fit right in as one of their people.... I'm just 5 to 10 pounds away from wearing my new Zumba gear.

OK Goal set firmly in my mind now 190 is the promised land, well not quite, more like the next big rock in the river I'm trying to cross. if I get to it I can can get to 180, 170, 160, 150.....

No weigh in till the 3rd of June official anniversary day/picture day.

Day 148 & 149

BEER BUTT CHICKEN made it Saturday. DELICIOUS! recipes all over the web find the one you love! Mine was extremely simple! Just poultry rub and a bit of olive oil and a dark beer.

So I ate 1100 calories Saturday and got back to 200.4 Yesterday, Jim and I ate out for breakfast. We then had candy in the movie (Hangover II NOt as good as the first one). Chinese food for dinner ( I ate three pieces of food that was fried). I got on the scales this morning 203. Some is water weight and general puff from eating bad I might have had 2300 calories though I'm suppose to maintain at that level. What is this I'm never allowed to have fun any more? Guess I should not have got on the scales. I wish Jim would quit tempting me to be BAD. I have a weak will.....YUP all his fault! Hey, I spent at least a hour yesterday day doing laps in the pool still didn't save my butt....

Today I'm doing all the classes offered at the MAC. That should work that General Tao chicken and fried rice off my ass!

Day 147

Eat one Mexican meal out and gain a pound? I didn't even eat the flour tortillas, half the rice, or half the carnitas No Margarita's either. I still ended the day under 1800 calories unless I grossly under estimated the calories some how. I drank all the water I'm suppose to drink , more even. Maybe the sodium? Or I didn't get enough sleep. I was reading THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET'S NEST till midnight, AWESOME book btw. I have bags under my eyes that have bags. Yesterday I didn't work off 1500 calories either one dog walk for 45 minutes. I'm sore though still from Wednesday & Thursday work. i just can't seem to break through stuck right around 200 up a pound down, a pound... IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! I am just going to have to get stricter with myself. Plan every meal and not go over 1500 calories. No more snuck one or two chips... i just gotta keep moving..... no lost days reading or watching movies all day for a while........BLAH!

Day 146

200.8 still :( I'm not happy. I guess I should have been more careful during the "graduation" festivities though I really wasn't that bad. The weight wasn't coming off as fast or as well for some reason this month. I guess I'm going to have to try to be more active. The thought of just having 1300 calories a day makes me hungry just thinking of it. Yesterday I just did total body work out. Today I just walked the dogs, and rolled some fondant. I maybe walking again later. I have to do something else. Maybe the gym and lifting or cardio theater or 5:45 zumba....
Me in my new "sexy" dress and hair extensions. Easier than growing it! LOL!

Hare's hoping the scale numbers go DOWN tomorrow...

Recipes!!!

DEVILED EGGS Actually they are un-deviled eggs. I took most of the SIN out of them.

12 Hard Boiled Eggs
2/3 cup Light Miracle Whip
1/8 cup Dijon Honey Mustard
Pinches of salt and pepper
Turmeric ( sprinkles)

Cut eggs in half remove yolk.

whip yokes, and all other ingredients except Turmeric (can add a bit if you want). Place mixture in piping bag and pipe back in to whites. Sprinkle with Turmeric.

Day 143-145

200.8 :( period started. So Tuesday I fell off the exercise wagon again...LOL! Wednesday i tried very hard to work my ass off literally! A hour of Zumba, 30 minutes of Diva Dance, and 30 minutes of weight lifting at the MAC. I then alternated 20 minutes of reading and 20 minutes of pool laps till I got a hour of swimming. I burned 1500 calories. I only ate 1600.

I'm currently trying to decide if I want to battle the yucky weather out doors and go to the MAC for total body work out. It would be good for me. Thunder storms I can handle it's the tornadoes I can't, not fond of straight line winds either. Guess it might be the treadmill and a exercise video. The news just said the storms are leaving our area....

I hope the sun comes out! Katie's boyfriend is supposed to come over and swim. We shall see it was supposed to be 90 degrees today.

Day142

Back on the wagon again..... Zumba and Diva Dance today and all healthy foods! Well, health-ish. I don't think Angel food cake is actually health food or a weight watchers ice cream bar.....OK so I have one foot off the wagon. At least I ate strawberries with the cake and weight watchers has a boat load of fiber.......I'LL DO BETTER TOMORROW! or not...

Day 135-141 Fallen off the Wagon!

OK so it was Courtney's Graduation this weekend. I had a million things to do this week. I didn't see much of the gym. I got ONE Zumba class in Friday. I have eaten horrible. BUT I needed a break from me strict totally health conscience freakiness....LOL! BUT if I stay on this course I'll be 300 pounds in no time....YIKES! So back to the gym Monday and healthy eating.

So happy with this WARM weather. I'll be doing laps in the pool. I'm going to time myself. I need to mix up my work outs.

Day 134 (major regret day)

SO hopping on the scales after a MAJOR cheat day when you are already bloated from water weight is kind of stupid and masochistic. i won't print the number......OUCH! Today will be straight and narrow....Enough said! I'm doing the late Zumba class. Can't do the early one because the house cleaners are coming this morning.

I wish I'd been more on the the ball this past week getting everything picked up but C'est la vie!


After this graduation is over I'll be back to obsessing over loosing weight, BUT right now I need to put my shoes in their boxes! YIKES! At least I'll be organized for a week maybe. LOL!

Day 133 (pantry cleaning day)



So I'm thinking we won't starve any time soon. I have enough ketchup to last us till at least Christmas probably longer. I'm going to try my hardest to use up all the old stuff before I'm tempted to buy more. Some stuff we just go through FAST. Fiber Plus bars, tuna, and, couscous we'll be out of by the first of June, maybe a week after. Anyway My pantry is all organized I know what I have in there and a few things we need but don't have (very few). I'll be shopping just for fresh and frozen stuff for a while.


I'm a puff ball and that's the way I'll be till my period starts. I am not torturing myself, NOT going near the scale till it starts. Today I'm eating anything I want in any amount I want it! ( I usually eat what ever I want but in tiny portions). I haven't eaten over 2000 in months heck 1800 calories even. So today is CHEAT day. Jim and I went out for HUGE breakfast already! I enjoyed every bite!

Day 132

I'm one puffy woman. I'll be happy when my period starts!TMI?

When I puff up like this I always wonder about those ladies on the biggest loser. My weight can vary up to 5 pound with water weight. I can be doing everything right and still puff up like a balloon. How would it be fair to hold PMS symptoms again a contestant on a weight loss show?

I'm getting Midol. My lower back hurts and I feel like smacking someone for no good reason. Sure sign of PMS. That and I was watching WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I started crying over one of the set ups, a an adoptive couple finding out the birth mother was changing her mind..... GROAN! It's bad when you know it a set up and still cry. In a few days I'll be my usual stoic self, and stop sobbing over TV shows and commercials, BIG bonus I won't have Fred Flintstone's ankles any more either.

I guess I should be thankful I live in the 21st century! We have pain killers, wrinkle cream, and have to obsess to lose weight.

Day 129

AFTER YESTERDAY I'M JUST GOING TO BASK IN THE THE GLOW OF 198.8 AND NOT GET ON THE SCALES ( I'm a puff ball today with really sore muscles after the abs and legs work I had yesterday with Kimberlee)
SPRING SALAD

Mixed baby greens 1 to 2 cups
watercress 1 cup
strawberries 1/2 cup
raspberries 1/2 cup
blackberries 1/2 cup
Mandarin oranges 1/4 cup
walnuts 1/8 cup
almonds 1/8 cup
Dry fruit mix 1/4 cup
Biltmore Cabernet poppy seed Dressing

(OMG! This is the best dressing EVER not cheap and not light. BUT 1 tablespoon of it is enough. The flavor goes a long ways. Bought some when we visited the Biltmore this past fall and actually now order it off line 3 bottles at a time)

This salad isn't exactly "light" But filled with good vitamins, oils and protein. It tastes out of this world! YUM!

Day 127

200.4 Woo Hoo!!! I've lost a whole pound this month. Oh well it's a pound I don't have any more! I'm 4 ounce off my mini goal.
I've already rewarded myself though yesterday was Mother's Day and I went shopping! Bath and Body Works sent me a $10 coupon and I used it. Love the buy two get one free. I'm stocked up on my favorite. I also got some mini gifts. the ones I tuck away and use when I forget an occasion. They'll make nice graduation gifts too.

WE went out to lunch Saturday for an early Mom's day Linner ( Lunch & dinner mix) at Long Horn. I pigged out in a controlled fashion still 700 some calories in a meal is a lot. Jim bought cheese cake later on too. i celebrated the Preds play off in in Vancouver with half a piece. never had carrot cake cheese cake. Pretty good once you remove the icing. Why would you ever ice a cheese cake I don't know... Jim got me the start of a herb garden. Fresh herbs for our dinners!


Gotta get ready for ZUMBA! Maybe I'll lose those 4 ounces .....

Day 124

So the Predators lost last night and I haven't lost an ounce. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!

New recipe!


4 servings (serving size: 1 chicken breast half and about 1 1/2 tablespoons apricot-lemon sauce)
Ingredients
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 (6-ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Cooking spray
1/3 cup apricot spread (such as Polaner All Fruit)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind

Preparation
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl; rub mixture over chicken.
2. Place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Cook chicken 6 minutes on each side or until done. Remove chicken from pan, and keep warm.
3. Add apricot spread, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons water to pan, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat 1 minute. Spoon sauce over chicken; sprinkle with lemon rind.

This is yummy!!! I used chicken tenders instead of breasts cuts cooking time a little.

Telling Adults What they can eat?

OK I just saw this on the Doctors. State Work places telling people what they can serve a birthday celebration??? Telling adults what they can and can not eat is getting to the ridiculous level over stepping personal rights. Treating adults like children pisses me off.

DAY 123

So I'm a tad disappointed it is May 5th ( Feliz Cinco de Mayo) and I haven't lost those 2 freaking ounce to make 200....Here's my version of Ukrainian Apple cake aka Yabluchnyk
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour( I used whole wheat)
1/4 cup white sugar ( I used Splenda)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup butter ( I used little butter)
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup cream ( I used fat free half and half)
4 large apple - peeled, cored and thinly sliced ( I also added 1/4 cup raisins, and 1/4 cup walnuts)

Struesel Topping
2 tablespoons cold butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly butter an 8 inch square baking dish.
Sift together 1 1/2 cups of flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in 1/2 cup of butter until the mixture is crumbly. Stir together the egg with the cream and gently mix into the flour until a soft dough has formed. Press into prepared baking dish. Layer the apples into the dish overlapping, in neat rows. Prepare streusel by mixing the brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Cut in 2 tablespoons butter until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake in preheated oven until apples have softened, and topping has browned, about 25 minutes.
They said it serves 12, but I think more like 8.

Day 122

Still 201.2 and REFS YOU SUCK! WHAT BUS HIT LAST NIGHT! My face is thinner. Any way I now have better angles at taking my face so it doesn't look so fat. There were no angles before I just looked fat no matter what.

201.2.... Ok so still pretty fat but there is now less of me to love, 37 pounds less of me. I can put my 14s on and zip them, breathing not so much. Goal to shoot for breathing in my jeans with the zipper zipped! I have lots of lovely 18s and 16s to wear till that magical event happens.

I wish I felt better. I've got a sinus infection and it is dragging me a bit down. I have these lovely horse pills to take with food twice a day. Greek yogurt and pro-biotics are going to be my friends till they are all gone, hopefully my infection with them! I've got to get this house in-order for Courtney's graduation party....

now to decide if Zumba will energize me or just take all the energy I have.... I'd like to be 190 by the end of the month :) but I'll take 195 and be happy or happy-ish .... guess I should Zumba.

Day 121

AKA PICTURE DAY!








Good thing I had Katie snap these yesterday because it is raining AGAIN. I feel like crap. I'm puffy everywhere. My bags under my eyes are EPIC I have three rings of them. My fingers are like sausages. Stepping on the scale would be suicidal for my self confidence. I know it won't read 200. SO I'm going over the GOOD things. I now fit perfectly in all my size 18's. I can wear a lot of my 16's, and I can pull on to my fat behind my 14's zipping and breathing not so much...

I went from 208.80 to 201.2 this past month. 7.6 pounds not bad.

Day 120

201.2 woo hoo! I lost 2 ounces. Hey, better than nothing!


Had a great weekend! Jammy's Zumba class was so FUN! My family went out to eat at Long Horn. It was delicious! i got to spend quality time reading by our gorgeous ready to swim in pool. PREDS WON game in Vancouver!!! Jim put in new garbage disposal, and Osama Bin Laden is DEAD. Other nice things happened just hit the high notes though in the summery.

Then I'll find out the damages on my van. Engine light came on and it was acting weird.... GROAN! I figure that our three first the garbage disposal, the Dyson vacuum and now the van all broken.... CHA-CHING$$$
