I'm just trying to get exercise in .... good at walking the dogs..... one Zumba class last week no weight training....BLAH! Will be better this week!

WORK ON A CAKE ( DAY 263)


Jennifer facebooked me about a cake Emmy's 6th birthday . This is the topper.


WAY off my sensible eating...... Gotta wrap my head around it. Still walking the dogs at least 2 miles a day. been bad again about getting to gym :( But I did vacuum and steam clean the floors burnt a few calories that way. Going to gym tomorrow and Saturday.

Day 261

I went to the doctor yesterday and got a pretty good bill of health. I finally got pills to address my fungus toe. NONE of the cures I read and tried from the web worked at all.
Hopefully in two months I will say bye-bye to my fungus forever!

He was happy with my weight loss, BUT once I told him since july 29th I've been gaining and re losing the same 4 pounds over and over. he adjusted my thyroid meds.... I'm gong to have to wrap my head around eating way more carefully. Tailgate season, then Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas.......BLAH! Gotta find light tailgating stuff.

Day 258

Oops! missed yesterday..... busy making yet another Gator cake. Well, trashed the cabbage soup diet. i couldn't face another day of it. We had pizza for dinner...SHAME ON US! Oh well calorie count was still under 1600.

I'm still sore from Andi's Total body work out Thursday. She is a demon from HELL here to torture me on earth. It kicked my ass! Zumba with Jammy kicked my ass too! Back at the gym. Really glad I did it. My mood went back up. i need the endorphins!

I'm a puff monster today and yesterday period and sore muscles. Will weigh myself Sunday morning. Hopefully it will be DOWN!

Bought all light stuff for tail gating except for the Spumante and vodka.....mimosa's and Bloody Mary's football season!!! WOOT!

First band contest today for Oakland! Just took Katie and Shelby. I hope they do well! GO OAKLAND!

Day 256

Back down to 191.6! I'm hoping to be down to 189 before the cabbage soup diet is over. I'm going to re-start the 17 day diet. It will seem like heaven after cabbage soup diet! Today is banana day. Will be strange. I'm making a smoothie i saw on Dr Oz

2 bananas
1 cup of ice
1cup of skim milk
2 T cocoa powder
2 T PB2 ( powdered peanut butter)
1T Truvia or Splenda (sugar free sweetener)


YUM! BUT not sure about the rest of the day just bananas , skim milk, and cabbage soup. I AM REALLY SICK OF CABBAGE SOUP!

Day three! Fruits and vegetables. MUCH EASIER!

Got my blood drawn today. We'll see if my fasting glucose level is OK. Hopefully DOWN!!! I hope my thyroid level is OK. I think it is down though... We will find out next week!


Poor Katie is under the weather. We wound up at the Walk in clinic.

Day 254

Day two of the cabbage soup diet, aka,the dreaded vegetable day..... Thank goodness tomorrow I get both fruit and vegetable. The potato wasn't much of a treat. Oh well! Banana day will be loads of fun... NOT !

Poor Katie-boo has a COLD! Don't know if she going to hang in there to finish the diet. If I make it through banana day. I'll make it to the end.

Day 253

Katie and I are on the Cabbage soup diet for the week.6 large green onions (also called “spring” onions)
2 green peppers
1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
3 carrots
1 container (10 oz. or so) mushrooms
1 bunch of celery
half a head of cabbage
1 package spice only soup mix (In the US, Liptons is a good choice)
1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
1 48oz can Low Sodium V8 juice (optional)
Season to taste with pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc. (Little to NO SALT!)
Directions:

Slice green onions, put in a pot on medium heat and start to sauté with cooking spray. Do this until the onions are whiter/clearer in color (about 4-6 minutes).

Cut green pepper stem end off, then cut pepper in half to take out the seeds and membrane. Cut the green pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.

Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.

Clean carrots, mushrooms, and celery, cut into bite size pieces and toss them in. Add tomatoes now, too.

If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.

For seasonings, you can use a spice soup packet of your choice (no noodles!) or use beef or chicken bouillon cubes. These cubes are optional, and you can add spices you like instead (make sure not to add much salt, if any at all).

Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the 48 oz of Low Sodium V8 juice), cover and put heat on low. Let soup simmer for a long time – about 2 hours or until vegetables are tender.

I've got to find some fat old friends any takers??? LMAO!

So no change from yesterday. I don't know what it is but I've been so HUNGRY lately. Despite all my best intentions I can't keep my calorie intake to 1500 or 1600 it keeps creeping up. I need to stuff myself with vegetables. I really, really wish I liked them better.....GROAN! I need to hit the gym and the pool. I've slacked the last 2 days only walking the dogs. I wish i could find some discipline! Where has all my will power gone???

EPIC FAIL

Of all time to make HUGE mistake it had to be my Mom's 75th birthday cake. So I have some good excuses... well excuses.... I had to make it at Willa's house. Her kitchen is tiny. My kitchen table is bigger than her kitchen. NO JOKE. I didn't have all my tools. I forgot my level of all things. i made the strawberry cream too soupy. It needed to be firmer. Un-level, sliding filling, and the supports weren't cut right ( tool issue again). ALL EQUALS EPIC FAIL!
It was ready to go.... ONLY THING WORSE IS IF IT HIT THE FLOOR
Two layer cake..... the second layer was served but not displayed.

The only reason I posted this is I now getting over it. I've NEVER had a cake do this so embarrassing! I will try never again have an EPIC fail again either!!
